What's Included in a
Home Inspection?

Having your home inspected by a certified professional home inspector is your first step to insuring nothing gets missed. During a home inspection a certified inspector works off of set standards of practice and often exceeds these standards. Major components of the home such as the roof, foundation, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems among many other systems that make up a home will be inspected! Your North Pro Inspector will even go into crawlspaces and attics to make certain every visible portion of the home has been inspected. Still have questions about what exactly will and won't be inspected? Feel free to have a look through InterNACHI's standards of practice!

Generally speaking a thorough home inspection of a average size home will take 2-3 hours to complete. More time may be needed for larger homes, extra services, or multiple structures that need inspected (detached garage etc.)

Can a home fail an inspection?

Simply put, no. A home inspection does not present a pass or fail upon completion. The decision is ultimately left in the hands of the client.

Im buying a new home do I still need an inspection?

Absolutely! All to often the excitement of buying a new home can be overwhelming and things can be missed. Often times new construction homes come with a warranty typically 12-24 months, after this time latent defects left by the builder can be tough or impossible to get fixed by the builder without charge.
